The production quality and traceability are becoming every day more critical elements that need to be collected and managed in production lines.
Our customer is an important manufacturer of high performances Diesel Common Rail engines: we realized an in-line system, using digital videocameras, for the detection of bidimensional "Matrix" codes, expecially created to uniquely identify each injector.
The Matrix codes are inserted in small squares ( 3 mm) and contain information that will be used to optimized the efficiency of the engine controlled by electronic devices. A digital videocameras system reads the codes and stores them in a network database for the subsequent setup of the engine and for the barcodes print during the final phase.
All data are stored in real time in the database and sent to the main information tecnology system of the enterprise.
This innovating system allows to automate the traceability and makes it possible to get specific information and to create production reports.
